Clinical Toxicology

In addition to analyses in the field of forensic toxicology our laboratory offers a wide range tests in the field clinical toxicology. Examples of that are analyses in blood and urine of medical drugs, vitamins (e.g. A, B complex, C, D, E) and trace elements (e.g. zinc or selenium) as well as heavy metals (e.g. aluminum, cadmium, chromium, copper, lead, manganese, mercury, nickel, thallium).

Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM)

Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM)

Many diseases can now be successfully treated with the adequate medication. In order to achieve the desired effect, to minimize side-effects and to avoid over- as well as under-treatment, it may be essential to control the blood concentration of the administered medications.

Heavy Metals and Trace Elements

Heavy Metals and Trace Elements

For the measurement of metals and trace elements in body fluids our laboratory uses the latest technique of ICP-MS (inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry).

Vitamins

The serum analysis for vitamins is part of clinical toxicology and can provide important data for the treatment of medical conditions.
